Our Programs

Bantwana currently works with local partners in three targeted countries: Swaziland, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Bantwana targets countries faced with growing numbers of OVC due to high HIV prevalence. Each of these countries is not only working to reverse the epidemic’s growth, but must also mitigate the impact of HIV on children.

Bantwana works with local communities and small organizations that are already serving orphans and other vulnerable children. Many of these groups have suddenly found themselves having to cope with an increasing number of children as relatives and community members are affected by the HIV epidemic.

Bantwana works with these organizations to expand an integrated, holistic package of care, including psychosocial support and child protection.

By working with these small, locally run organizations, Bantwana ensures that all support goes directly to communities caring for OVC.
